স্মৃতি পীড়া দেয়,

স্মৃতিতে ঠোঁটে বাঁকানো হাসি

স্মৃতি বিচরণ বড় ভালোবাসি।

কখনো বা একটি পুরনো গান কড়া নেড়ে দেয়

স্মৃতির দরজায়

কখনো অ্যালবামে রাখা পুরনো এক খানি ছবিতে

অনেক স্মৃতির উদয়।

এমনই এক স্মৃতির সুতো বেয়ে

হাঁটিতে ছিলাম সেদিন বিকেলে।

অনেক সময়ের পথ পেরিয়ে

দেখিলাম ছোটবেলার সেই শালিক ছানাটিরে।

আজও সে আছে বসে আনমনা হয়ে

ঐ আকাশের পানে চেয়ে।

At the door of memory

Sometimes an old photo kept in an album

Brings back many memories.

Such a thread of memory

Even today it is sitting quietly

Looking at the sky.
